Rental agreement

My personal data have changed (name, address, email, bank account details). Where can I update these?

If you already have access to the service portal, you can simply and quickly change your personal data here. If you have not yet registered on the service portal, you can do so  here. However, registration on the service portal only works with the data held by Mietra, so you might have to log in using your old data in order to then be able to change them.

 

Our older child has left school and our younger child would now like to use the locker. What do I need to do?

No problem. Simply enter the name and year of your younger child here on the service portal. If it would be better for the locker to be in a different location, you can request a locker exchange here

 

What is the term of the rental agreement?

The agreement comes into force when you make the first rental payment and a one-off deposit. The term of the agreement is one school year and is automatically extended by one further year if the agreement is not cancelled with a notice period of 4 weeks before the end of the school year. 

Exceptions are leaving school or changing schools. In these cases, please send us confirmation from the school regarding the change/departure and we can register an extraordinary cancellation with a notice period of 2 weeks before the end of the month.

 

Year abroad – putting the locker on hold

If your child can no longer use the locker due to a stay abroad, you have the option of putting the agreement on hold for the duration of the absence without refunding the deposit. To do so, simply call us at +49 (0)34345/7295-0 or email us here. You will not be charged for this period. As soon as your child has returned from their overseas stay, let us know and we will allocate your child a new locker.

Liability for locker contents

Mietra assumes absolutely no liability for the contents of the locker. Various household insurance policies include cover for locker contents in their "outside the home" element and liability must therefore be assumed by the renter. Please ask your insurance company about this.
