How can I cancel a locker?

The simplest way is to cancel it here on the service portal. Alternatively, you can do this by telephoning us at +49 (0)34345/7295-29 or here by email. 

 

Notice periods

Please observe the following notice periods for the smooth cancellation of your rental agreement:

  • at least 4 weeks before the end of the school year if the cancellation is to become effective at the end of the current school year.
  • at least 2 weeks before the end of the month if the student is changing schools (please send school attendance certificate to Mietra).
  • up to 14 days after commencement of agreement if the student/parents wish to withdraw from the agreement.

 

That way cancellation will run smoothly!

Please ask your child to empty the locker completely on the last day. We cannot store any remaining items! For cylinder locks, send all original keys back to Mietra with your rental agreement number. Don't hand the keys in to the school! For combination locks, simply leave this locked on the locker.

 

Refund of rental fee and deposit when withdrawing from an agreement

You have 14 days from the date you entered into the agreement to withdraw from the rental agreement. The precondition for the refund of the rental fee and deposit is the withdrawal from the agreement. Please note that we require your correct bank account details for the refund. For security reasons the amount will be refunded to you after 42 days.

 

Deposit refund

The one-off deposit is due at the start of the agreement. This is refunded at the end of the rental agreement without interest, provided that the rental agreement was cancelled on time and the locker was handed over in a clean and empty condition. For lockers with cylinder locks, you will receive your deposit after you have sent back all original keys to the rental company. For combination locks, you must leave it locked on the locker. The deposit will be refunded approx. one month after the start of the new school year after you have cancelled your rental agreement. For this purpose, please provide your full bank details again when cancelling. Any outstanding payments will be offset against the deposit.
